Edge, fog and cloud applications demand increasing computing power. The interfaces to sensors or machines often require non-standard solutions. Especially in smaller machines, space is limited or restricted in some dimension and need a special solution.

Today, the connection from the sensor device to the embedded cloud takes place via real-time data communication, on sensor and edge level - for example Industrial Ethernet or fieldbuses - and gateways , which provide the transformation of real time data into the informational area.

Kontron Asia Technology is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to help the company develop and design embedded computing board and system products.

Your duties

2D and 3D product mechanical design
Project cost estimation and analysis
Mechanical sample outsourcing production
Mechanical sample trial assembly and verification
Product packaging design
BOM creation and maintenance
Assistance in SOP development and trial production

Skills required

Good at AutoCAD and PTC Creo 4.0
Experience in Panel PC and Box PC designing
Familiar with waterproof and dust-proof designing
Educational background in mechanical design
Familiar with component part manufacturing and processing
Able to manage project development independently
Currently residing in Taipei or surrounding areas with a valid work permit
